I have followed some aspects of this story just because I find it fascinating to watch the biggest collapse of an icon that I have ever seen. I heard Charles Barkley defend Tiger on Patrick's show last week. It was clear to me that he's a guy that you want with you in a foxhole.
But I also wondered if Tiger's problems grew much worse when he decided to get into a foxhole with Charles Barkley. Barkley talked about loving Tiger like a brother, and in that scenario Tiger was clearly the younger brother. I know that Barkley isn't a role model for other people's kids, I guess you can put his friends on that list too.

You couldn't make this stuff up and get me to believe it yet it's all true. I fantasize from time to time what it would be like to be rich, famous, and on top of the world like Tiger was for instance. Then something like this happens and I'm thankful I'm a cubicle sitting nobody from East Gish, ME.

The rules should be pretty simple by now, you sacrifice your privacy in return for fame and fortune. I think this is getting too much coverage, but I don't feel sorry for Tiger. It's one thing to use your image to sell Gatorade and shaving cream. But he used his image as a solid family man to sell investments, to sell real estate for developers. So now, IMO, he's fair game.

ANd even under these circumstances there are a lot of people who would. He will get through this mess and I will be in the cube until the day i die. (unless I hit the lottery) Though if i was rich and famous and in his position and knowing in going to hit everything and anything that walks...I just wouldnt get married. it is that simple...If you get married and like toplay the field, no matter who you are. Youre going ot get caught. You just will...Tiger is talented, just not that smart

I wonder if Tiger is trying to convince her that this really only counts as "one time" because it came out all at once.

I don't care and I still watched from my office at work...it's the whole can't turn away from a car wreck thing. He was horrible. Real heartfelt having to continuously look down at his IMG crafted statement. He's had 80+ days to come up with something and he still had to use his paperprompter. He's not sorry...he's only sorry he got caught. Does anyone honestly think that "sex rehab" is going to "cure" him? Once he gets back to playing he will encounter the same temptations and I highly doubt he resists them. Why not just get divorced and stay single? Man I can't imagine how uncomfortable it must have been to be sitting in that room.

Apparently this week's South Park will involve Tiger Woods. I haven't watched that show in a while, but I think I'll have to this week...

It's their season premiere. The premieres tend to be the strongest episodes of each season because they have so much more time to make it. Normally we don't get to see clips from upcoming shows while they're in season because in an attempt to be topical, they write and animate the show in about 4 days and are still editing it up to a couple hours before the episode airs. It's as close to a "live" show as a cartoon can get, really.
I saw preview clips in ads last night, so this one, for the most part is already in the can. For that reason, no matter what the topic matter, I usually try to catch their premieres every season. The rest I don't go out of my way to catch because they re-air them so often.

News of Tiger playing the Masters is no surprise to me and most likely anyone else. One, its his signature event, two, I dont think he ever intended on missing a Major and three Augusta National will "help" Tiger. They can control fan access and media access pretty tightly, I think Tiger will have a "safety zone" around him so to speak, so if anyone gets out of line they will be tossed. He will however have to face the media if wins or finishes 2nd.

60 Minutes must be wondering why now but ESPN will be having an interview with Tiger Woods at 730 evening. If CBS is lucky the basketball coverage will go till 8 PM. I have not been that interested in this whole Tiger stuff but I will watch the interview if the Basketball coverage is over.

I don't think that nice/rehabbed Tiger is going to be as dominant as angry/strangeaholic Tiger was.
