He was a great special teamer, punishing blocker, and seemed to get a yard or two when the Pats needed it. I remember Mosi's Mooses well. RIP.

Sad day indeed. He was one of the first Patriots I was able to recognize as a kid, because of his name (for a six year old, that's just a fun name to say over and over again). Too young to go. RIP Mosi.

Mosi was an unsung hero of thesnow plow game, helping control the ball on the ground. He had 81 yards rushing, and Mark Van Eeghan (who I barely remember having been with the Pats) ran for 100.

Mosi was a very popular member of those teams.

His name is what made me notice him but his play on the field is what won me over. He, Grogan, Nelson, Hannah, and Stanley Morgan were my favorite Pats of that era. Extremely sad day for us old school Pats fans.

I'm just a bit more old school than you. I remember when Grogan took over for Jim Plunkett. Along with Grogan, Nelson, Hannah and Morgan, I loved Sam Bam Cunningham, Mini Mack Herron, Russ Francis, Mike Haynes, Raymond Clayborn, Julius Adams and Sugar Bear Hamilton. (Query - whatever happened to all the great nicknames?) I also like the center, Dr. Bill Lenkaitis, because every game the announcers would tell us that he works as a dentist in the off season. Not to mention Sam Adams. They had a fantastic O Line - Hannah, Lenkaitis, Leon Gray, Sam Adams.

I also liked Clayton Weishuhn at LB in the early 80's, but he didn't last too long due to injury.

I do remember Clayborn, Julius Adams, Russ Francis and I also remember players like Pete Brock, Don Blackmon, Lance McGrew, Roland James, Hasselbeck. The first coach I seem to remember is Earhardt I think. Not sure of the year. I do remember when they went 1-15.
