Check out Colts fans ripping on Manning, the coaches, and Polian. It's a riot: http://www.indystar.com/comments/articl ... -the-Colts

My favorite comment so far:

Look at the bright side Colts fans, if Tom Brady was your QB yesterday, you would be stuck outside in the cold watching a parade today. As Peyton Manning is your QB, at least you're inside and toasty warm. 2/8/2010 12:54:52 PM

Manning solidified my opinion of as a chump. Last year when Lebron walked off the court when the Cavs lost and didnt shake the oposition's hands he got villified, when Belicheck did it against the Giants same thing, Peyton does and its no big deal to anyone. And he uses the excuse that it was the Saints moment and he didnt want to intrude.
Watching Brees in Press conferences anf after the game he is a class act through and through.

To me, the best part of the celebration was Brees holding his young son while the confetti was flying everywhere. That was awesome.

Brees should now be mentioned with Manning and Brady as the NFL's elite. He was unbelievable accurate last night and was a lot of fun to watch.

and to think all the Dolphins had to do was tell him that they really wanted him there and knew they could win a championship because of him! How is his shoulder looking now Dolphins! F#@$ You! I will now be angry with them until the draft, which I will then be angry again because of a dumb draft mover

I will now be angry with them until the draft, which I will then be angry again because of a dumb draft mover You could make an argument that Nick Saban could be responsible for a Super Bowl win and a BCS win in the same season. Had he not chosen Culpepper over Brees, I don't know if the Saints get to where they are today. Hey Tom Benson, don't forget to get Saban's ring size. lexwing wrote: I think that the played that started the downfall of the Colts was the drop by Garcon. That gave the Saints a huge shot in the arm as far as energy and confidence are concerned Supposedly, Bill Polian was making excuses for that drop in particular after the game, claiming Garçon got "jacked" at the line of scrimmage (last I knew, that was legal...probably not for long if Polian gets his way) and it threw him off. Ummmm....yeah, maybe he got jacked at the line, but he was ten yards clear of that contact when Peyton put the ball right on his hands. Polian would do well to take a page from his coach's book. Caldwell was pretty gracious in his post-game comments...more so than I can remember seeing from other losing coaches. Almost makes it hard to be happy they lost...almost.

Polian spreads the blame between the O-line and special teams: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4904544I know he's the owner and can do whatever he wants, but what a douchey thing to do right after the loss.

Polian's been doing douchy things after losses for years. It's just what he does. The guy was the primary instigator on the competition committee that enacted the tighter rules on DBs after the Pats D man-handled the Colts receivers in the 2003 AFC Championship game (basically using the "Patriots cheated on defense" excuse for the Colts' loss in that game). He's also a notoriously poor sport in the press box ( second source with more details). And someone at ESPN needs to have their butt kicked for that headline. Polian is not the owner of the team. He's the president. Jim Irsay and his family have owned the Colts since their Baltimore days.

Polian is just one of those guys who will never take the blame for anything. And honestly, this game, he deserved the blame only in that his coach is sort of a talking head. Polian is running that team, and Caldwell is just a puppet. And clearly the guy isn't that great of a coach. He got outcoached 100%.
And thank god. After being that badly outcoached, I'm surprised Polian hasn't announced Cowher as the new head coach...
