For those of you that might not know, Pat Spekhardt (co-host of the afternoon show called The Shootaround) has been let go by WZON. It was a cost-cutting move. This despite the fact that the afternoon show has higher ratings than the morning show.

That is scary. My best friend does the news there and I hope I don't see it trickle down to him. He has four kids and doesn't need a layoff now. I can speak from experience that it is not easy to find a new job. He told me that the news director recently left though, so maybe that ensures his job.
