It's not me is it? Am I even in this league?

Yeah there have been more than just a couple of weird drops in this league - and Calnan's too.

Wow, my pitchers combined for 2 wins 30 strikeouts a .43 ERA, .86 WHIP last night. Thank you Peavy, Myers, Smoltz and Trevor Hoffman.

Having four SP spots and only two P spots this year versus last year's set-up where it was three and three has really changed the dynamic of the pitching catagories...

Yeah, that blew me away too. Too bad for me other people noticed it too. Oh well, I guess I'll hang on to old Bronson for another week or so. Dropping him for Abreu though...that'd been like the Arroyo for Wily Mo deal was for the Sox, only like a bazillion times better.
On another note...I hate to be "that guy" using fantasy as a reason to bitch about real life, but Papelbon in the 9th with a 5-run lead? Damn you Tito, you couldn't have given Oakie that work instead? 18.0 K/9 thanks to two Ks? 18.00 ERA thanks to letting in 2 meaningless runs? Cost me two whole points in that category. Damn freakin' relievers.

yeah I put a claim on him also. that was just weird that he was dropped. With walks as one of the categories he is in the top 25 IMO. Also I like Lester but I would never pick him up for Bobby Abreu.

Why no trade offers or no one on the trading block in the Year 5 league? Are you all happy with what you have already?Don't look now, but a newbie has taken the early season lead! As far as the Baseball Junkies league, I'll keep battling. It won't happen overnight, but watch out for the Maniacs over the course of the season!

I think I explained my strategy during the basketball season, but it's rather early for a wildly active trade block. I like to give my team a month at least before I start making any major changes. So far, I've found a couple useful pieces on the waiver wire (with a 10 team league, that's going to happen). I'd think in the next couple weeks, when it's easier to figure out where the glaring holes are, the trade block will be more active.

Amazing that an OF of Kapler, Murphy and JD Drew would be outhitting an OF of Andruw Jones, Vernon Wells and Ichiro! !
Actually, I just pulled up ESPN.com to see exactly what the OPS race looks like for all MLB OFers, and at #77, at the very bottom of said list, there sits Andruw Jones. Take that all you Andruw Jones fans (I told you two years ago he was an overpriced WiMP!)

I would trade Hafner for a chalice of warm piss.
Warmed urine in a glass goblet.
Takers?
Anyone?
What about Mike "My contract year was LAST year" Lowell?

Nooooooooooo!
My team can't take ANY more injuries!
I am in a league where I have Ortiz, C. Pena, Smoltz and Hawpe all on the same team.
