Boston.com story

A legend. One of my favorite parts of watching the B's as a kid was listening to Fred. Never was the same after he retired.

He will be missed. I think of him fondly and his voice was one of a kind. I love watching the old Bruin classic games on NESN just to hear him call the action

He was great and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him. There hasn't been anyone since that I can stomach.

Fred and John Pierson (sp) were great together. I remember watching the games with my friend Todd and enjoying the B's sometimes only because of the commentary.

Rest in Peace Fred.
