Obviously you guys have waited longer to see your team play again, and its only pre-season, but it is FOOTBALL. And it'll be nice to see Brady back on the field.

Brady with a TD in his second possession. Very nice. Nice to have cheerleaders back in our lives too :D

Gotta be pleased with that first half. Not just a good job by Brady, but no injuries.

Watch out in the second half...the Eagles might just break out the Wildcat featuring Mike Vick.

My respect level for that franchise just dropped...a lot.

I figured that was self-explanatory, but ok...they signed Michael Vick. I don't like the guy, don't like what he did, don't care that he's "paid his debt to society", don't want to see him on a football field. I hate to see a highly respected franchise like the Eagles bring that crap on themselves.

So then you felt the same way about the Red Sox when they didn't cut Wil Cordero.

Man, Brady looked good. I never have been so excited to watch a preseason game.

Matter of fact, I was extremely disappointed they didn't cut him. But that was a different time, different regime...one I really did lose respect for. For that and a variety of other things. The Henry/Werner/Lucchino/Epstein front office has earned back the respect I lost with the previous regime.

Brady looked great, the Pats are going to be brutal this year- again.

The Steelers had a fantastic night too, nice work from Sweed, Mendenhall, and Hood. Ben looked good, and it was nice to see Batch back on the field.

I don't really care about Vick. Stallworth killed a guy and did less time and will end up back on the field. I did laugh at the thought that MIT may have been watching Brady's triumphant return and learning that he was done with football at the same time.

Vick hasn't played a down yet in a regular season game. I'm hoping his crappy enough so that he'll simply get cut.

Good luck with that. I'm hoping to see him take a hit that knocks his helmet into the stands, ideally with his head still inside.

I just wish I wasn't such a hypocrite 99% of the time. Otherwise I might stick to that. It's real easy when Matt Cassel is throwing the ball, to say I'll boycott, but with BRady under center, it's going to take will power I simply don't have...

I'm sure that there's an animal rescue group around that could use some help with their website.

Fair enough. Believe me I am not condoning anything that Vick did. What he did was heinous and psychotic. I just feel that he was given a punishment, he served it, and now he has the right to seek employment in his profession. Especially when that same profession employs individuals who have harmed and taken human life. The NFL and each team is a business. That's how they are run. They don't survive on morals and taking the high road; they survive by acquiring better talent than the next team. I guess we can lose some respect for Philly for signing Vick, but I understand why they did it.

It's hard for me to lose respect for Philly when I hated them to begin with... :)

There's no better place for him. I only wish I cared what Joe had to think about the whole thing. I'm guessing he thinks it's great for the team, after years of talking trash about him.

Exactly. It isn't like I watched the Eagles play at home and felt a deep respect for the Philly fans. The ideal fit would of been Cleveland and the dogpound, but this is good too.

And he does have an opporunity to make a difference in the culture that supports dogfighting, if he does I'll actually respect him.

Like the guy with a 'Brady, BREAK a Leg!' sign. Classy, philly. As usual.

I must've missed that one, what a douche.
