I just got the word that Dustin Richardson is getting called up to Boston. He is flying to Ft. Myers tomorrow morning for a few days and should be with the Sox by the beginning of next week.

Good for Dustin. Why would they send him to Ft. Myers first?

I guess to gt a little work in first, maybe do a simulated game. It has been a couple of weeks since he pitched.

Ah. I would think they could find a mound elsewhere with the team, but what do I know. Maybe they have less field access when they are on the road.

Maybe they have someone they want him to work with down there, plus with traveling it might be harder to get him mound time. I didn't hve a chance to ask his mther, because she was in a hurry to call more people.

I found out that Dustin flew to Boston today. Hopefully we will see him get activated today.

With Beckett getting scratched, tonight might be the night for Dustin. Bowden worked on Friday so it's not like he's going 7 innings, 110 pitches or anything. They may need some long relief at some point.

With the way the game has started, I would expect we'll see him tonight for sure.

So, another guest of the house of Parrot has made the show. How many does that make? I know Moss and now Richardson, are there any others?

Up to two and counting, Brandon and Dustin. A few more years and maybe I can field a team. I am waiting for one of them to sign a big contract and buy me a Humvee.

Nice debut by Dustin. 1 1/3 innings, a couple of singles, no runs. Hopefully I can see him pitch live this weekend.
